Residential and industrial noise: We are pleased to announce that Dr. Richard Cookson will now be representing the Association of Noise Consultants on the British Standards Institutes EH/1/3 committee.

Richard is already the chairperson of the BSI committee EH/1/1 which covers “Hearing” and is very familiar with the BSI’s procedures and ways of working.

The BSI committee EH/1/3 is responsible for BS 4142: 1997 Method for rating industrial noise affecting mixed residential and industrial areas, along with many other standards relating to residential and industrial noise.
