Chris has worked in acoustics since 2004 and joined PDA in 2010. He holds a Master’s degree in Audio Acoustics from Salford University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Audio Technology and Electronics from Anglia Ruskin University, and is a Member of the Institute of Acoustics.

Christopher has been responsible for several projects in the area of building acoustics, including Residential developments to meet standards required in the Building Regulations, Offices, Schools, and Higher Education buildings in all areas throughout the UK. Areas of work typically include the design of internal acoustics (including 3D computer modelling of speech transmission and reverberation), the acoustic separation between spaces, and acoustic junction detailing. Christopher has significant experience in acoustic measurement techniques, including pre-completion testing for Building Regulations ADE, and has been an ANC (Association of Noise Consultants) registered tester for over 10 years. Christopher is proficient in the use of a number of acoustic modelling simulation packages, including CATT, Odeon, Bastian, CadnaA, Soundplan, and Insul.

In his spare time, he has a strong interest in both playing and listening to music with a wide eclectic taste, and plays electric, acoustic, and bass guitars, and has played within several rock bands. He has recently turned his hand to woodwork and has built a number of loudspeakers as well as the occasional piece of furniture.
